Beckham airs Real disappointment
David Beckham
Beckham's side have failed to match rivals Barcelona this season
England captain David Beckham has voiced his disappointment at another season without a trophy at Real Madrid.

The former Manchester United midfielder has not won any silverware since joining the club two summers ago.

But the 30-year-old told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope: "I am not used to not winning trophies.

"It is the first time I have gone two years without winning anything and, like the rest of the team, I am upset that we have not won anything."

Despite voicing his disappointment, he insisted that he was still "happy to be part of the team" in the Spanish capital and wants "to end my playing days here".

And Beckham also backed Real to bounce back next season after settling with coach Wanderley Luxemburgo.

"I am not used to having four coaches in the space of just two years and it is not a good thing for the team," he added.

"But Luxemburgo is the coach who has best understood where I should play. I'm more comfortable on the wing than in the middle, although I am happy to play anywhere I'm asked to.

"I like Luxemburgo, both as a coach and a person, and I hope that he remains at Real because he has been very good for the team.

"He makes the players work hard and knows what he wants from each one of us."
