Bayer coach accepts Euro defeat
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Bayer Leverkusen coach Klaus Augenthaler
Bayer Leverkusen coach Klaus Augenthaler admitted the better side had won after their Champions League exit against Liverpool.

The German side never looked like overturning their 3-1 first-leg deficit against Rafael Benitez's side.

"Franca and (Landon) Donovan missed good early chances and Liverpool then scored which killed us off," said Bayer handler Klaus Augenthaler.

"But congratulations to Liverpool over the two legs, they were better."
