Robinho has made a promising start to his Real career |
Real Madrid forward Robinho has jumped to the defence of under-fire coach Wanderley Luxemburgo after the club's disastrous start to the new season. Real, playing a 4-2-2-2 formation with the width supplied by the full-backs, have already lost 3-2 to Celta Vigo and 3-0 in the Champions League at Lyon.
"Wanderley has won a lot with this system. We are still getting used to it but we will soon adapt," said Robinho.
"He's relaxed and understands criticism but the league has only just started."
He added: "The new players still have to settle in. We are doing what he asks of us and he is confident in his system."
Real travel to Barcelona to play Espanyol in La Liga on Sunday.
