Miccoli is surplus to requirements at Juventus

Juventus claim the 26-year-old, who played for Fiorentina last season, will go to either Villa or Benfica in the next two days.

"We need to sell a striker, and that would be Miccoli," said Juventus general director Luciano Moggi.

"In a couple of days time, we will know whether he will go to Benfica or Aston Villa."

Miccoli joined Fiorentina from Juventus last season in a deal which ended up with his rights being co-owned by both clubs.

Last summer he criticised Juventus for choosing to retain Alessandro Del Piero's services instead of his own.
