 Woodgate's frustration may soon be over |
Real Madrid believe Jonathan Woodgate will be fit for the new season. An ongoing thigh problem has prevented the 25-year-old defender from playing for Real since he signed from Newcastle for �13.4m last August.
But Real director of sport Arrigo Sacchi expects Woodgate to play in the club's tour of USA, China and Japan.
He said: "The doctors say that he will make a full recovery. We are really looking forward to that and he will be a really important 'signing' for us."
