Floro failed to turn around the team's poor start to the season |
Real Mallorca have sacked manager Benito Floro after a string of poor results left the club second from bottom in La Primera Liga. Floro had received a vote of confidence from the board on Monday but Sunday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad was seen as the final straw.
Mallorca chairman Mateu Alemany told the club website: "The board has agreed unanimously to dismiss the coach."
Coach Tomeu Llompart will take temporary control at the club.
