New Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho has told England captain David Beckham he will not be guaranteed a place in the side. Beckham endured a tough first season in Madrid as they finished trophyless and was below-par at Euro 2004.
"What I want is that Beckham does his work like everybody else. I don't go into what happens off the pitch, only training and matches," said Camacho.
"No one is untouchable - we have a squad here and they all play."
He added: "The best players in the world are precisely those who are in a condition to play.
"If they are not in a condition to play nobody is better than the rest.
"So that is a decision me and my staff will have to make, so the team is at the highest level in all games."
Camacho did reserve some praise for Beckham for his efforts in trying to learn the language.
"I speak with him in Spanish and he understands me well."
