Bayern Munich have insisted that midfielder Michael Ballack will see out his contract with the Bavarian club. Linked with Barcelona and Liverpool, Ballack struggled at Bayern last season, although he was one of Germany's few successes at Euro 2004.
"I talked to Barcelona president Joan Laporta and I told him Ballack was staying with us," Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Kicker magazine.
"The result is that he will honour his contract, which is valid until 2006."
