Liverpool transfer target Fernando Morientes has delivered another hint that he may quit Real Madrid in January if he is not a first-team regular. Morientes has admitted he would be happy to return to Monaco after a successful loan spell last season.
Agent Gines Carvajal, who has reportedly visited Liverpool, said: "He is not happy because he is not playing.
"He admits he was not expecting to be a starter but that he would be able to play in some games."
Carvajal added: "If he had not already been at Real Madrid maybe they would have tried everything to sign him as a galactico but because he is already here he is not a galactico.
"It's easier to give opportunities to someone who has come in than someone who is already at the club."
Morientes is down the pecking order after Michael Owen's arrival at The Bernabeu from Liverpool.
And he said: "I made a decision to stay one year at Real and things should go very wrong for me to change my mind.
"I know that the door is open at Monaco and I'd like to walk through that door again one day. If I had to leave Real once more, Monaco would be my first choice."
Morientes is yet to start a La Liga game this season.
