 Barreto took Ghana to the Olympic Games in Athens |
Rangers' Uefa Cup opponents Maritimo have appointed former Ghana coach Mariano Barreto as their new manager. The Portuguese side sacked boss Manuel Caduja last week after losing their first game of the season.
Barreto told www.uefa.com: "I hope to fulfil the club's wishes and ambitions and please the board and the fans."
The 47-year-old was in charge of Ghana at the Olympics and has been on the coaching staff at Sporting Lisbon, Bayern Leverkusen and Lokomotiv Moscow.
