German coach Christoph Daum has been unveiled as the new manager of Turkish side Fenerbahce. Daum, who quit Austria Vienna last weekend after taking them to the league title, signed a contract at a special ceremony in Istanbul.
He had two previous stints in Turkey with this season's league champions Besiktas.
Daum was once the Germany coach-elect but lost that opportunity and was fired by his club Bayer Leverkusen three years ago after testing positive for cocaine.
He is Fenerbahce's 10th coach since Aziz Yildirim took over as chairman of the club in 1998 and replaces stand-in coach Tamer Guney.
Fenerbahce have fallen behind Istanbul rivals Galatasaray and Besiktas in the domestic standings.
And they finished sixth in the Turkish super league this season, out of the reckoning for both the Champions League and Uefa Cup.
