The loss of Radoi is a big blow to Romania's tournament hopes

Romania's hopes of progressing from Group C and into the last eight have taken a blow with the news Mirel Radoi is out of the rest of the tournament.

The midfielder suffered a head injury after a collision with team-mate Razvan Ratz in Friday's draw against Italy.

His side face the Netherlands in their last group match on Tuesday but Radoi will play no further part in their run.

"It's quite serious," said Romania coach Victor Piturca. "He will need eye surgery and has a broken nose."
