Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner was delighted with his side's recovery as they came from behind to beat Holland and reach the quarter-finals. "I had a team who would not give in even though we were 2-0 down.
"To produce such a turnaround was truly wonderful to watch. It is a fantastic night for our country.
"I can say that was good work out there. I'm not worried about our next opponents, only my own team who, I hope, are going to gain in strength."
Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved was thrilled with the performance as well as the result.
He said: "To go down 2-0 was a cold shower for us. We knew we had to pick things up, and quick.
"Both teams play an aggressive, offensive style. It's a fun game to play, and to watch.
"We can now save some of our strength in the next game. But we have to remember we haven't won anything yet."

After 19 minutes against the Dutch, the scenario appeared very different as the Czech Republic trailed to strikes by Wilfred Bouma and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Czech striker Milan Baros, who scored the goal which drew his side level, admitted: "We were down psychologically after that second goal.
"But there was still so much time to play. Once we got the first one back we really fed off the momentum."
Jan Koller grabbed the Czech Republic's first goal before Baros equalised and Vladimir Smicer scored a sensational late winner.
