HALF-TIME IN EXTRA-TIME: The first period ends, with both sides having had chances to win it on the silver goal. The prospect of a semi-final tie with hosts Portugal still awaits, but Holland will not want it to go to penalties - they have lost four out of four shoot-outs in competitive football.

47 mins: The ball drops to Van Nistelrooy in the Sweden area from a long throw, and he flicks the ball with the heel of his right foot - a la Ibrahimovic against Italy - only to see it drift over the bar.
46 mins: Robben races away down the left and centres for Van Nistelrooy, but the four-goal striker heads the ball onto his shoulder and it loops harmlessly high.
HALF-TIME: The whistle blows at the Algarve Stadium and it has been a lacklustre contest so far between two of the tournament's most attractive attacking teams.

Alexander Ostlund steps in for the suspended Erik Edman at left-back and Tobias Linderoth returns from a ban to take the place of Kim Kallstrom.
Holland are unchanged from their 3-0 victory over Latvia, with four-goal Ruud van Nistelrooy recovering from a groin problem to start in attack.
Frank de Boer and Michael Reiziger keep their places in defence ahead of Wilfred Bouma and Johnny Heitinga.
