Blackpool's Premier League game against Manchester United has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

The decision was taken on Friday afternoon after referee Peter Walton expressed concern that parts of the playing surface would not thaw in time.

Bloomfield Road does not have under-soil heating, and large hot-air blowers had been used in an attempt to ensure the pitch was playable.

No new date has been set for the fixture.
