Portsmouth's Premier League match against Birmingham has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
The club invited supporters to help clear the Fratton Park pitch of snow on Wednesday and were confident that the game would go ahead.
But heavy rain overnight and the forecast of more wet weather to come prompted referee Anthony Taylor to call it off after a 1000 GMT inspection.
A new date for the match has yet to be announced by the club.
"There are several patches of water on the pitch which will not drain away," said Portsmouth's head of operations Lucius Peart.
"We've had very heavy rain here which has come on top of the meltwater from all the recent snow and ice.
"The pitch normally drains very well but it was hampered by what we believe to be frost deep in the pitch which is affecting the drainage system."
