Battle of the mega bucks
The fixture computer displayed a wonderful sense of timing when it drew Manchester City and Chelsea at the newly-dubbed Middle Eastlands this weekend.
Fresh from pinching Brazilian Robinho from under Chelsea's noses on deadline day, the City fans will no doubt be poised to unleash a songbook's worth of chants bragging of their new-found wealth.
Boss Mark Hughes has been quick to temper expectations at the City of Manchester Stadium after the proposed takeover by Abu Dhabi United Group.
"Chelsea were winning trophies before Abramovich bought the club. They had been in the Champions League semi-final," said Hughes. "We are starting from below that, so maybe it will take longer."
Throw in Shaun Wright-Phillips playing against his old club and Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari revealing on Friday he turned down the chance to become City manager in the summer, and you've got a lively afternoon in store.
