Keane to open Liverpool account
If only the picture for Robbie Keane was as rosy as it appears to be for his old Spurs partner Berbatov.
Not only has he yet to find the net, but he goes into the Man Utd game with his fellow star Reds Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard far from 100% fit.
The Irishman will hope at least that he plays in his favoured position as a second striker - a decision which could be forced by Torres' absence - having started the game against Aston Villa at left-wing.
And although they are yet to lose, Lawrenson believes Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez needs to quickly establish some of the new signings in areas they are lacking.
"Liverpool have been criticised for their narrow approach," said Lawrenson. "They've brought in the winger Albert Riera and also have Ryan Babel, but I don't think Benitez has cottoned on to the fact that in the Premier League, width is the key.
"Everybody knows how Liverpool play and a lot of teams - last year we saw it with 12 draws - are capable of nullifying them."
With the international break and a 1245 BST start it could be a dull stalemate, but the stage is set for Keane to show why Liverpool paid 20m for him in the summer.
