Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren blasted his side's defending after a dramatic late collapse gave Norwich a 4-4 draw at Carrow Road.

"I cannot really repeat what I said to the players in the dressing room after the game," said McClaren.

"The performance was excellent, save for our defending in those last few minutes which was shocking.

"But I cannot fault the back four for the majority of the game, but sometimes these things happen."
