Bolton 2-0 EvertonBolton Wanderers continued their recent revival and deepened Everton's troubles with a comfortable victory at The Reebok Stadium. Per Frandsen and Youri Djorkaeff scored in each half for Sam Allardyce's side - and The Trotters deserved to win more comfortably as Everton turned in a desperate display.
David Moyes' side were never in contention and their afternoon was summed up by Wayne Rooney's performance, with the England teenager unceremiously hauled off after 54 minutes.
But it was joy for Bolton, who followed up the victory at Leeds United with another accomplished victory to leave Everton without an away win this season.
Bolton's domination of the first 45 minutes was almost complete and they should have been ahead by more than one goal at the interval.
Kevin Davies should have put Bolton in front after two minutes when Jay-Jay Okocha crossed only for the striker to head over.

Frandsen was also guilty of wasting a good chance as he chipped the ball into Nigel Martyn's hands.
Bolton were in total control and Greek midfield man Stelios Giannakopoulos beat Martyn but was just off target.
But they got the lead they deserved after 26 minutes, courtesy of Frandsen.
Ivan Campo's header prompted a poor punch from Martyn and Frandsen was on hand to steer home Bolton's opener.
Rooney was having a quiet afternoon, and he needed treatment after a collision with Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.
He then tried to chip the goalkeeper after Joseph Yobo's long ball forward but his effort cleared the crossbar. Bolton boss Allardyce brought on Djorkaeff for Giannakopoulos when he limped off after 31 minutes - and he made his mark with the second goal just seconds after the break.
Everton had replaced Tobias Linderoth with James McFadden at half time, but the move never had a chance to come off as Djorkaeff's shot was deflected, possibly off Ian Nolan, to wrong-foot Martyn.
Rooney was replaced by Francis Jeffers after 54 minutes, and he could have no serious complaints.
Everton had been desperately poor, and Djorkaeff almost added a third as Bolton eased to victory.
