Manchester United have been hit by a further injury blow after midfielder Kleberson suffered a dislocated shoulder against Southampton.
The Brazilian came off clutching his arm after 70 minutes of the 1-0 defeat at St Mary's and was replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kleberson was making only his second start for United after his �5.93m arrival from Atletico Paranaense earlier this month.
He will now miss Brazil's opening two World Cup qualifiers in Colombia on Sunday and at home to Ecuador three days later.
United are already without England midfielder Paul Scholes for at least four weeks as he waits to discover whether he requires a hernia operation. Meanwhile, United defender Phil Neville claimed a below-par United were affected by the St Mary's playing surface as they slipped to their first defeat of the season.
"The pitch was very dry, it slowed the ball down a lot," said Neville.
"It is very disappointing. It is not nice to lose a game but it is a difficult place to come.
"Southampton battle hard and I always felt we were in control of the game and it was going to be us that went on to win it.
"We still have got to pass it better and open up teams a lot more in the final third.
"We knew they never give in and the manager stressed to us that even if we were in front in the game and winning they would press us.
"They keep going right to the end and you have to concentrate until the last minute, as was highlighted today," he added.
