Burton eased their relegation worries by comfortably beating Lincoln.
City goalkeeper Trevor Carson and defender Danny Hone collided, which allowed Sam Winnall to tap in and put the home side ahead early on.
Aaron Webster headed in to double the lead, before Winnall scored from the penalty spot after Mustapha Carayol had fouled Jacques Maghoma in the area.
Ashley Grimes found some space on the edge of the area and curled in a late consolation for the visitors.
Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby: "It was a very good win. I'm disappointed we gave away a stupid goal at the end. It was a good finish from the boys but three-nil looks a lot better.
"I thought the boys deserved a clean sheet because Darren Moore, Tony James, Andy Corbett and Paul Boertien were all superb and we limited them to pretty much nothing.
"Then they had a shot from 30 yards but then that's football. Even so, I was pleased with the performance."
Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "I said before the game that their league position is a false one because of their games in hand, and they are a good side.
"When you keep conceding early goals it does put you on the back foot. We conceded early in both halves, so it's disappointing from that point of view, but they were the better side by far.
"We didn't do enough tonight. We haven't worked hard enough, competed enough or kept the ball enough. We've got to keep the ball better to try and dominate games."
