Substitute Sean McConville scored Accrington's winner in a topsy-turvy victory over Crewe.
Bryon Moore slotted the visitors ahead after a mix-up in the Stanley defence, but Ian Craney set up Charlie Barnett to fire in an equaliser minutes later.
Craney then put Stanley in front with a superb strike from 25 yards.
Crewe captain Dave Artell volleyed in an equaliser but Stanley nicked the points when Barnett set up McConville to turn and smash the ball home.
Crewe manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "How can you expect to win games if you're letting in three goals?
"The defence can't stop the goals and we really will have a look to see if we can improve the personnel there.
"I don't think we've got it within the club so we'll have to look outside."
