Port Vale moved to within two points of the automatic promotion places with victory over Bradford as striker Tom Pope hit his first goals for the club.
Pope, on loan from Rotherham, headed the home side ahead four minutes after the break, rising highest to Doug Loft's right-wing corner.
The boyhood Vale fan added his second 15 minutes later converting a Justin Richards flick inside the six-yard box.
Tom Adeyemi netted Bradford's late goal as he was left unmarked in the area.
In the first half, Pope squandered a great opportunity to get off the mark in the seventh minute when he headed Gary Roberts' cross wide.
Roberts then created a chance for himself which he put wide and Loft forced a good save out of Lenny Pidgeley.
Bradford's best chance of the first 45 minutes came when Leon Osborne struck wide.
But Pope took just four second-half minutes to break the deadlock before adding his second just past the hour. And, although Jake Speight set up Adeyemi for a cool finish six minutes from time, it proved too little too late.
