A late goal by Deane Smalley rescued a point for leaders Chesterfield against battling Aldershot.
Smalley's downward header gave the hosts a first-half lead but Tim Sills' volley brought the scores level.
The visitors went ahead after Mark Allott handled a cross in the area and Tommy Lee saved Alex Rodman's penalty but Sills knocked in the rebound.
With Chesterfield only four minutes away from defeat, Smalley cut inside to drive a low shot into the far corner.
Chesterfield assistant manager Tommy Wright told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I thought we were very fortunate to get a point. I thought the second half performance was flat.
"You can't just turn up and win football matches.
"You get in a comfort zone. We looked like we come out in the second half and win the game. To be fair they're too good of a side for that to happen and we were lucky to get a point."
Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey: "It's a game of mixed emotions. We never imposed ourselves in the first half against a good side. You can see why Chesterfield are up there. I felt the occasion was getting to us.
"I asked the team at half-time if they had character. They came out and showed everything I think they've got. They're now hurting because we went 2-1 up we had a little bit of unprofessionalism when the danger wasn't clear. It's a lesson for all the squad.
"They're disappointed but they're happy. We'll go to Morecambe with a spring in our step that we game to the league leaders and got something from the game."
