Ryan Taylor scored twice as Rotherham eased past struggling Stockport to climb up to third in League Two.
County debutant Aaron Brown headed a Marcus Marshall cross into his own net to put the home side ahead.
Taylor doubled the advantage by firing in a low shot from the edge of the area after being fed by Dale Tonge.
Ian Thomas-Moore's ball allowed Adam Le Fondre to slot in the third, before Le Fondre turned provider for a Taylor header that completed the rout.
Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Overall, it could have been anything, but it was nice to keep a clean sheet, that's a big thing.
"[On Adam Le Fondre] He was lively and back to what we expect from him.
"They played some good football Stockport, they aren't as bad as some people say."
Stockport County caretaker manager Peter Ward told BBC Radio Manchester: "We've been beaten 4-0 and again conceded four goals without scoring ourselves, so maybe I'll have to look at the tactics we employ.
"Maybe the free-flowing football that we like to play and the principles we've got might have to change for the run in for the end of the season.
"There is still a lot to play for and we owe it to the fans of this club to work hard and turn results around."
