Barnet stretched their unbeaten run to four games as Port Vale continued to stutter under new manager Jim Gannon.
Barnet had the first serious attempt on goal after the break, but Izale McLeod's shot was easily collected by Vale keeper Stuart Tomlinson.
The home side could have won the game but substitute Kayleden Brown lost his footing in front of goal.
Rob Taylor missed Vale's best chance, firing high into the air when virtually on the goal-line.
The draw means the Valiants have failed to win in Gannon's opening five games in charge.
