Luke Gutteridge's last-gasp winner gave Aldershot the win over Crewe.
A long-range strike from Danny Shelley and a tap-in from Clayton Donaldson had twice given the visitors the lead, with Wade Small nodding in for the Shots.
Peter Vincenti's volley brought the hosts level again and earned the forward his first goal for the club.
Crewe were reduced to 10 men when keeper Rhys Taylor handled outside the area and the resulting free-kick from Gutteridge gave the Shots the late win.
Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey: "It was a game full of emotion and passion. I'm proud the players didn't let their heads drop. They've shown me they've got character and quality. There's no better way to finish a game than that.
"They're ticking all the boxes at the moment and rising to the challenge. They're giving themselves, myself, the club and the fans everything they can. You keep asking the questions and they keep on coming up with the answers.
"Three points today is phenomenal. There'll be some happy faces coming into work on Monday."
Crewe manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "I've got no complaints, I thought the best team won because they passed the ball much better than we did.
"It was, again, one of those games where I couldn't really pick a man of the match.
"We got off to a great start with a great free-kick, but they had so much of the play you worried that they would wear us down."
