Rotherham scored two late goals to earn a draw with struggling Stockport.
Ishmel Demontagnac crashed home to put County ahead, but the Millers equalised through Kevin Ellison's angled shot.
Visiting keeper Andy Warrington saved Anthony Elding's penalty after Adam Le Fondre handled, but Stephen Husband's volley put Stockport in front.
Husband's driven second looked to have won it for County, but Matthew Grieve headed into his own net and Ryan Taylor glanced home to hand Rotherham a draw.
Rotherham United manager Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We were way off the pace I thought but give them marks for hanging in there with five minutes to go and 3-1 down.
"We would have lost this last year, no doubt about that. We got out of jail. I thought that if we had scored first, we would have won by four or five.
"We cannot defend the way we did. At the end of the day we are thankful that we got something out of this."
