Two goals from Clayton Donaldson helped lift Crewe into the play-offs as Wycombe's winning run came to an end.
Wycombe, who had won their last five, had early chances but Lewis Montrose and Scott Rendell missed opportunities.
But Donaldson grabbed his first when he chipped Wycombe's Nikki Bull before Donaldson fired low into the net to double the lead 60 seconds later.
Shaun Miller sealed Crewe's victory with a follow-up tap-in after Lee Bell's shot had rebounded off the post.
Crewe manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke: "I thought we were worth our win, but a little bit like our other games we were making chances and then not putting them away.
"He was remarkable today Clayton (Donaldson), he took his two goals really well and you could see how pleased the other players were for him.
"It really has come together since the lay-off, and perhaps that's down to the work that we did and the fact that we didn't lose any confidence because we didn't lose or play any games."
