Bradford City v Bury

Bradford 1-0 Bury

Omar Daley's goal on the stroke of half-time gave Bradford the double over play-off chasing Bury.

The winger, who also got the winner when the two sides met in November, superbly volleyed Tom Adeyemi's right-wing cross from 10 yards out.

The Bantams had chances to extend their lead after the break - the easiest falling to midfielder David Syers, who was unmarked at the back post.

Bury's best chance saw Michael Jones shoot wide from the edge of the box.

Bradford City manager Peter Taylor told BBC Radio Leeds:
"I was really pleased. I think we finished the first half really, really well.

"I think there was a buzz about us in the changing room and all we kept saying was 'come on, go and show them what you can do'.

"I thought in the second half we've done some good things against probably one of the best teams in this division."

    Bury manager Alan Knill told BBC Radio Manchester:
    "It should have been over in the first 20 minutes, we had so much possession and clear cut chances we should have been out of sight.

    "I've got to say I'm pretty proud of my players and that's how to play football, just the disappointing thing is when we needed to be clinical we weren't.

    "It's different losing and playing awful. I don't think anybody whose been here today could say we deserved to lose and we deserved to have something out of that game."
