Two goals apiece from Nicky Ajose and Ryan Lowe helped Bury destroy Lincoln as the Shakers recorded their biggest league victory since October 1999.
The visitors took a fortunate lead when Andy Haworth's harmless looking shot went through the legs of Joe Anyon.
Lincoln's Mustapha Carayol hit the bar, but Bury then took control as Ajose pounced on a rebound for 2-0 before a classy finish from Lowe made it three.
Ajose shot from 18 yards to make it 4-0 and Lowe's calm finish ended the rout.
