A Steve Kabba double helped Barnet to an easy win against 10-man Northampton.
The away side scored first, Leon McKenzie firing home after a long kick from goalkeeper Chris Dunn.
But Cobblers' Liam Davis saw red for a foul on Kabba in the box, and the striker slotted in the penalty before nodding home a Mark Marshall cross.
The Bees added a third through a Grant Basey free-kick, and completed the scoring in injury time when Ricky Holmes struck from close range.
Barnet boss Mark Stimson told BBC London 94.9: "It was a good performance. The boys went out and played like they did on Tuesday night and carried on from a really good Cup tie away at Charlton.
"To get four points from six, after a difficult away game at Torquay and then against a Northampton side who we knew would make it difficult for us is a great points tally."
Northampton Town manager Ian Sampson told BBC Radio Northampton: "We got ourselves off to fantastic start then our lack of discipline cost us again.
"If we keep doing that, we're going to be in for a rough season. We've got five red cards this season and that's shocking.
"It's decision-making, Liam Davis hasn't make the right one and I'm angry because it's made if difficult for the rest of the lads.
"I thought our players responded [to the sending off] well but unfortunately it didn't pan out."
