Kevin Betsy gave Wycombe Wanderers a win over 10-man Bradford on manager Peter Taylor's return to his old club.
The hosts could have gone ahead through Stuart Beavon, but his header was saved by Bantams' goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley.
The visitors went down to 10 men when Tommy Doherty saw red for shoving Gareth Ainsworth in the face.
Wycombe took the points when Matt Bloomfield surged into the penalty area and was tripped by Pidgeley, but Betsy was on hand to tap in the loose ball.
Wycombe manager Gary Waddock told BBC Three Counties Radio: "We got the goal and the three points, but the game had a little bit of everything.
"We wanted to get a win here at home, more importantly we got a clean sheet. But it is a very important result.
"He (Kevin Betsy) is doing very well. He wanted to get his goals this season. He has got a freedom in the way he plays and gets himself into positions and is popping up with goals."
Bradford manager Peter Taylor told BBC Radio Leeds: "I feel quite disappointed. You get days like this. There wasn't a lot of consistency out there.
"The boys put in a good shift, I think they worked extremely hard. We needed to get a goal, get a bit of an end product. I thought we deserved that.
"Overall I'm very disappointed with some of the decisions and it'll be very interesting when I go and talk to the officials."
