Lincoln City's disappointing start to the season continued as they were comprehensively beaten by Torquay.
Having started brightly, Torquay took the lead when Elliot Benyon headed home a Kevin Nicholson free-kick.
After Lincoln striker Gavin McCallum had a goal disallowed for offside, Torquay doubled their lead when Benyon converted a Chris Zebrowski cross.
Imps substitute Delroy Facey forced Gulls keeper Scott Bevan into a good save late on.
The result means that Torquay have not conceded a goal in the league for 871 minutes.
Lincoln City assistant manager Ian Pearce told BBC Lincolnshire: "It's hugely disappointing to lose again. In the first half we were on top, playing some good stuff and creating chances, and they go down the other end, have one free kick and score from it and we're on the back foot and chasing the game.
"If we have a little bit of luck and score it's a totally different game. The forwards are all working hard, we've just got to keep creating chances and keep going until one goes in.
"We're fully aware of what we expect and the standards we've set and unfortunately we're not achieving them at the moment. We can't go on conceding from set pieces, we need to tighten up on that - it's an element that has to go out of our game."
