Rotherham secured their play-off place in League Two with an unconvincing draw against hard-working Crewe.
Rotherham started brightly as Kevin Ellison had a shot well saved and Nicky Law headed against the bar.
But Crewe took charge as Clayton Donaldson had a goalbound effort deflected for a corner before he smacked a shot against the bar.
Ashley Westwood could have won it for Crewe but his 87th minute shot was tipped over the bar.
Rotherham United manager Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"We would have loved to do it the automatic way but we're in there and we've got a chance of promotion.
"We've certainly got to start putting the ball in the back of the net if we're going to do it. That's another clean sheet but we haven't created enough to win the game.
"It's been a concern all season. We've got crucial games coming up, and we need to start scoring sharp-ish."
Crewe assistant manager Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke:
"On the whole defensively it was a really good performance. We had chances ourselves and perhaps could've won it in the end.
"I felt one of the key points of our game was how we pulled together and got each other going.
"I always thought we could get something on the counter-attack. We were soaking up the pressure well, closing them down and I always felt Clayton (Donaldson) was a threat".
