Dagenham kept up their play-off push with a win over struggling Barnet.
Daniel Leach's handball gave Danny Green the chance to slot in a fifth-minute penalty for the Daggers.
The hosts were stunned when Jake Hyde nodded in an equaliser, but Leach was then sent off after fouling Paul Benson to concede another penalty.
Green converted his second spot-kick and the Daggers made their superiority count when Benson tapped home and Josh Scott curled in after a solo run.
Dagenham & Redbridge manager told BBC Essex: "Local derbies are always tough games and they are always fast and frenetic.
"We played really well in the first-half when it was 1-1, but we'd played well and had lots of efforts at goal and could have been three or four up by then.
"In the second-half we just pushed that on and I think the pace of our game was key. It was too much for them."
