Grimsby Town set a new club record of 23 league games without a victory as fellow League Two strugglers Lincoln came back from 2-1 down to earn a draw.
Chris Herd put City ahead from close range after Drewe Broughton headed a Matthew Saunders free-kick across goal.
The Mariners levelled when Lee Peacock scrambled the ball home and he made it 2-1 when he scored at the second attempt from a Michael Coulson cross.
But Brian Gilmour netted on the rebound after his initial spot-kick was saved.
Rob Atkinson was penalised for pulling back Gilmour and although Nick Colgan did well to save Gilmour's strike, the keeper could not keep out the follow-up.
Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire:
"Fair play to Grimsby, we knew it would be difficult, they haven't won many but they haven't lost many either recently and in the end I think a point each was about right.
"We took the lead but they got back into the game, but when they started to drop we gained the ascendancy and at 2-2 it was end to end.
"Some of our decision-making again was poor but the players gave everything and it's not the worst point in the world for us."
