Danny Hone struck an equaliser seven minutes into injury time to salvage a point for Lincoln at Darlington.
The Quakers took the lead shortly before the break when keeper Rob Burch allowed a 20-yard drive from Gary Dempsey to slip through his hands.
Mor Diop tangled with Adam Watts but but Darlington's penalty appeal failed.
Quakers skipper Ian Miller blocked a goal-bound effort from Brian Gilmour but Hone later lifted the ball over Shane Redmond to level the scores.
Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire:
"I didn't think we were going to score but I felt we deserved to. I felt we deserved to win the game on chances created, we fought to the end and it was a superb finish from Danny.
"It's fine lines and small things, and at the moment we're not getting the details right.
"But I'm pleased with the character shown, and who knows, at the end of the season that might be the point which keeps us in this division."
