League Two promotion contenders Bournemouth were once again frustrated at home as struggling Cheltenham salvaged a useful point.
Bournemouth's chances of a fourth home win since October looked bleak when the Robins threatened early on.
Cherries keeper Shwan Jalal saved a low Justin Richards effort with his legs before tipping over Michael Pook's lob.
Brett Pitman's free-kick was well saved by Scott Brown, but a flurry of late Bournemouth chances came to nothing.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told BBC Radio Solent:
"It was a disappointing first half. We were slow out the traps today.
"In the second half we were the better team but we lacked quality again in the final third and we didn't work their goalkeeper enough.
"We flattered to deceive a bit and we didn't flow for whatever reason."
Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"It's a tough place to come, but we've shown a lot of spirit and also quality at times"
"In the second half, we had to battle and dig deep. Sometimes away from home you have to scrap but we got a thoroughly deserved point"
"We've got to score more goals, but the spirit and the character was there to give us great heart going into the next couple of games".
