Burton Albion 1-0 Lincoln City

A goal inside the opening minute by Cleveland Taylor ended Lincoln's three-game winning streak and cemented Burton's position in mid-table.

On-loan Brentford winger Taylor followed up his late winner at Torquay on Saturday with a blistering 15-yard volley from a Tom Parkes cross.

The Brewers nearly doubled their lead when Shaun Harrad fired against a post from 15 yards in the 38th minute.

For the Imps, Joe Anderson's 25-yard free-kick hit the inside of the post.

Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire:

"We didn't start well enough and you just can't afford to start like that.

"We played some decent stuff but probably didn't pose enough of a threat, especially in the second half when we were decent all the way to the final third but that's when we need to be a bit smarter.

"The players gave everything. I don't think we deserved to lose the game but I'm not sure we did enough to win it. But football's about 90 minutes and you have to be switched on in the first few minutes and the last few."
