Saturday's League Two game between Darlington and Port Vale has been postponed following a pitch inspection.

The early decision was made because of the state of the pitch following snowfall and sub-zero temperatures.

The forecast for Friday was for more snow and plummeting temperatures, meaning the club decided there was little chance of the game going ahead.

Darlington, who also postponed Monday's game against Lincoln, will announce a new date for the fixture in due course.
