Evans' equaliser ensured Dagenham overtook Bournemouth at the top
Bournemouth slipped off the top of League Two on goal difference after they were held to a draw at Bradford while rivals Dagenham & Redbridge won.
The Cherries, who had been top for two months, went ahead when Anton Robinson fed Brett Pitman to fire in a low shot.
Gareth Evans levelled with a neat left-foot finish from Lee Bullock's pass.
Bournemouth's Lee Bradbury fired wide after the break, while visiting keeper Shwan Jalal blocked Bullock's header on the line in the dying minutes.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told BBC Radio Solent:
"It was a good point for us. Bradford are a good side, they made it very difficult in difficult conditions.
"Fletch, when he came on, he was excellent. He's a great sub to have, he came on and changed the game for us with his presence and his ability to hold the ball up.
"I thought we looked solid, our goalkeeper and back four were excellent. I was really pleased with everybody."
