A hotly-contested penalty saw Lincoln take all the points from a close contest against Macclesfield.

Rene Howe scored from the spot after Moses Swaibu went sprawling over keeper Jon Brain's outstretched legs.

Macc had dominated the first-half with John Rooney shooting inches past the post and hitting the crossbar.

Stefan Oakes forced a save from Brain after the break but substitute Reneil Sappleton almost equalised late-on only to be denied by keeper Rob Burch.
