Aldershot were held 1-1 at home by Port Vale in an entertaining encounter.
The visitors led when Robert Taylor collected a stray ball in midfield and breezed past two challenges before scoring in the bottom right corner.
Kirk Hudson, who lost possession in the build-up to Vale's goal, played in Louis Soares to drill in Shots equaliser before the break.
Hudson missed an open goal while Marvin Morgan had a shot cleared off the line as Shots failed to find a winner.
Aldershot manager Gary Waddock told BBC Surrey:
"We only played in the second half. First half, we didn't perform anywhere near the level that we want them to.
"Obviously we scored the goal and we got a bit of life into us and possibly could have gone in leading at half-time but second half we came out and had a go and possibly should have gone away winning the game today."
Port Vale manager Micky Adams told BBC Stoke:
"We looked average to say the least but we've ground an away point out and we'll take that.
"We're difficult to play against and for 35 minutes of the first half we dominated the play.
"You have to take your chances who ever you play against at any level or you will get punished."
