Striker Dave Hibbert secured a point for Shrewsbury with his third goal in three games.
Shrewsbury took an early lead through a Nathan Elder header and keeper Chris Neal kept his side ahead with a save from Paul Furlong's penalty.
Jake Hyde levelled with a header on the half hour and the striker put the Bees ahead from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Dean Holden.
But Hibbert secured a point with a close-range header in the second half.
Barnet boss Ian Hendon told BBC London 94.9:
"First half we played really well and could have gone in at half time further ahead.
"But we didn't come out in the second half at all. We've let in six goals all season, and four have come from set plays.
"I'm not accepting performances like that and they have been told."
