Wycombe boosted their hopes of automatic promotion to League One with a narrow win over doomed Luton.
Wycombe struck on 56 minutes when on-loan Bristol City striker John Akinde outmuscled Sol Davis and cut inside to send a 15-yard shot past Dean Brill.
Akinde had already wasted a free header from six yards and Wycombe substitute Stuart Beavon had fired just wide.
Luton piled on the pressure late on with Chris Martin forcing a smart save from Young five minutes from time.
