Bury maintained their push for an automatic promotion place with a comfortable win at Gigg Lane.

Andy Bishop recorded his 18th goal of the season as he nodded in Brian Barry-Murphy's corner unmarked.

He almost made it two but shot narrowly wide, while Shaun Brisley had an effort cleared off the line as the visitors threatened either side of the break.

Glynn Hurst then side-footed Bury's second and added his own second after a cut-back from substitute Phil Jevons.
