Pitman's hat-trick took his goals total for the season to 14

Brett Pitman hit a hat-trick to boost Bournemouth's survival bid and hit Rochdale's automatic promotion hopes.

Pitman's first came when his shot flew in off the foot of defender Rory McArdle and Liam Feeney doubled the lead with a powerful left-foot shot.

Pitman made it 3-0 after drilling home following a flick-on by Steve Fletcher.

And he completed his treble in injury-time by hitting a shot into the far corner to stun a Rochdale side who only had two shots in the entire match.
