A brace from captain Scott Kerr, his first goals of the season, saw Lincoln earn their eighth away win this term.
Kerr bagged his first after only four minutes, when he shot home with his left foot from an Adrian Patulea throw.
The midfielder's second came early in the second half, when he turned, found space and drove the ball into the net.
Fine saves from goalkeeper Rob Burch helped to end Accrington's six-game unbeaten run and keep up the chase for a play-off position for The Imps.
